60hr Yin Yoga TT: The Functional Approach & Meridian Yin With Nicky Hadjithoma

This Yin Yoga Teacher Training is our signature module - a comprehensive study program designed for teachers and practitioners interested in understanding the fundamental theory behind yin yoga, including the groundbreaking anatomical theory and practical application of Paul Grilley’s Functional Approach, and the energetic principles rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

We will explore a variety of experiential yin yoga practices allowing students to immerse themeslves fully into this holistic practice, providing insight into the many ways to creatvely and intelligently sequence, theme and deliver a class.

The anatomy component of this training we will study bone morphology of the hip. Interactive functional anatomy labs will be set up for students to carry out range-of-motion tests, so as to analyse anatomical variations and individual biomechanics. From there, we will learn how to skilfully apply observations and insights into pose modifications to accommodate all body types, using Paul Grilley’s 14-10-7 method.

This highly engaging and thought-provoking training will evoke a deep appreciation for the functional approach and the profoundly powerful practice of yin yoga.

Graduates of this yin yoga teacher training leave with the knowledge and tools to confidently plan, sequence and skilfully teach a thoughtful and inspiring yin yoga class, to all bodies and all levels.
