Fenella O'Regan

Pilates and Yoga Instructor
I come from a very athletic family background and first came to yoga as a teenager when struggling with reoccurring injury and illness. A lover of all types of movement, I first discovered Vinyasa yoga at 15 as a means to reconnect with my body on a deeper level. Laterally, I threw myself into the Ashtanga practice as a means of developing greater discipline, physical strength and philosophical appreciation with regards to yoga. The further study I did into physiology and anatomy, the more drawn I found myself to Pilates – Mat and Reformer – to complement the decade I spent focusing primarily on yoga. Nowadays, I enjoy teaching and practicing both, using the two modalities to keep me both physically and mentally strong and flexible as I continue to pursue other sporting and personal ambitions. My teaching style is dynamic, focusing on enhancing one’s mobility (strength + flexibility = mobility) whilst integrating breath control which I hope my clients can translate into functional movements to better handle the stresses and strains of modern life.
