Mum and baby yoga classes are an opportunity for you to bond with your baby while starting or resuming your yoga practice. It is a chance to practice and do something for you, to nurture yourself and aid your well-being while still being close to your newborn.
Practicing with other new mothers in an encouraging, supportive and sociable environment is beneficial to both mother and baby. The yoga classes help you regain fitness and strengthen core muscles, and improve toning after a time of great stress for the body and mind.
Yoga can help your baby with common digestive difficulties that they experience early on, for example colic, trapped wind, constipation etc and promotes improved sleep.
Suitable for babies 6 weeks and older – bring a toy and a blanket, but no crawlers!
