About this workshop

As the year nears its quiet close and the world leans into winter, nature invites us into a slower, softer rhythm. “Embers of Winter” is a sanctuary of warmth inside this seasonal shift — a space to release the weight of the year, conserve your energy, and reconnect with the quiet potency that lives within.

Rather than collapsing into exhaustion, this workshop honours the late-autumn transition as a conscious softening: a deliberate choosing of rest, a gathering of inner heat, like embers glowing beneath ash, to carry you into the dark months ahead.

Ninety minutes of yin. Slow, deliberate shapes that support the body’s natural movement toward stillness:

  • Hip, hamstring and spine-focused postures, to shed the physical and emotional accumulation of the year
  • Heavy, supported shapes that invite you to surrender your weight into the earth
  • An emphasis on deep exhales and parasympathetic repair, letting the nervous system recalibrate

Thirty minutes of yoga nidra. Through guided imagery you are invited to drift into a snowy, hushed landscape, and to find a warm ember at the centre of the body — a steady inner glow that sustains you through the darker season. It supports deep nervous system healing, emotional reset, and a sense of being held, safe and deeply rested.
