Good to know

After a vaginal birth you can usually start from about 8 weeks, or once your doctor or women’s health physio gives you the go-ahead. After a caesarean, wait until around 10 weeks.

Tell your teacher about any postnatal symptoms and how your recovery is going. Bring whatever your baby needs for napping, feeding or changing during class, and a favourite toy. Mats, blankets and blocks are provided free.

Classes suit babies up to crawling age. Ask your teacher if you’re not sure.

What it can help with

  • Easing back into movement safely after birth
  • Strengthening the pelvic floor and abdominal area
  • Easing tightness and tension in the postnatal body
  • Massage techniques to help your baby settle
  • Bonding with your baby, and meeting other new mums

Booking opens Mindbody, our booking system. First time? You’ll create a free Mindbody account, which takes about a minute.
