About the course

This advanced training is for experienced teachers who want to deepen their own practice and build the confidence, creativity and skill to guide others with clarity. Each module explores advanced technique, philosophy and applied teaching skills, led by faculty chosen for their experience and depth.

Skilful teaching techniques

Assisting, cueing, theming and the Five Elements. Go beyond teaching the shapes: refine how you communicate, assist safely and theme classes with depth. Drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements, you’ll learn to build classes that feel energetically balanced and meaningful, and leave with a toolkit of language, hands-on skills and creative sequencing ideas.

Biomechanics of movement

The living science of the body, through fascia, biomechanics and functional movement, applied in real time in classes and workshops. You’ll explore:

  • Fascia and its role in movement and injury prevention
  • Breathwork from an anatomical point of view
  • Active and passive assisting, including PNF and fascia-based assists
  • Sequencing with anatomical intelligence
  • Guiding students safely into more advanced postures and transitions

The energetic body and the systems

Where science meets subtle energy. This module looks at the body from both yogic and physiological perspectives, including the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and lymphatic systems, and how breath, movement and awareness affect energy, resilience and wellbeing.

Trauma-informed teaching

How to create safe, supportive spaces that honour the diverse experiences of students: the principles of trauma-sensitive yoga, nervous system regulation, language awareness and class design, so every student feels seen, respected and supported.

Philosophy and subtle practices

Reconnect with yoga’s roots through direct experience: chanting for resonance and connection, meditation techniques for modern practitioners, and the chakra system as a map of personal growth.

The business of yoga

Teaching is a calling and a profession. This module covers planning and running retreats, workshops and teacher trainings, marketing with authenticity, and building your brand as a teacher, alongside self-reflection and personal growth.

Yoga Sculpt

Blend yoga asana with functional strength training, using bodyweight and optional props, to programme powerful, fun classes that stay rooted in yogic principles.

Graduating

To graduate and receive your certificate you’ll need to complete all contact and non-contact hours, pass a written exam, and complete a final project: either teach a practical class applying the skills and themes from the training, or submit a business plan for a retreat, workshop or yoga offering that reflects your vision as a teacher.
