Classes for Expecting Mums

What is prenatal yoga?
Prenatal Yoga is a form of exercise and meditation where breath and specific body positions are used to help connect the mind and body.
Prenatal yoga focuses on positions that are specifically attuned to the pregnant body. It’s a great way to nurture yourself during this special time.
Benefits
Staying strong and mobile is often key. As the belly grows and the body slowly prepares for birth, it’s nice to give yourself some extra support by focusing on strengthening the right bits. Also stretching can offer great relief & comfort during pregnancy.
Simple movement, combined with breathing techniques and meditation, can offer rejuvenation, birth prep and above all, relaxation.
Connect & share with other expecting moms, and simply enjoy the ride.

Some other Benefits
Improve sleep and relief & comfort pregnancy symptoms
Cut your risk of preterm labor and other complications
Stabilise your moods and manage your weight
Improve your delivery experience.
Good to know
You can start practicing Prenatal yoga whenever you wish; from conception to birth.
Most women start in the second trimester as they might feel a bit more energetic. If you do wish to start early; as for some it might even weaken those first trimester pregnancy symptoms, make sure you get an official go from your gp or midwife and to simply take it easy, as you might feel more tired.
To get the most out of your practice, share any prenatal symptoms with your teacher at the beginning of class. They might offer extra tips, adjustments or props, as you move through yoga poses or breathing techniques.
