Michelle Piazza is originally from New York, but having lived in California, Massachusetts, England and Spain, Michelle has made Dublin her home for over a decade now.
Michelle first discovered yoga shortly after moving to Ireland and was immediately attracted to its balance of mind, body and spirit. After exploring various styles of yoga and settling on Ashtanga, she decided to abandon her career as a university lecturer and train as a yoga teacher so she could pass onto others the fulfilment and inspiration she discovered through the discipline of yoga.
Michelle soon found herself attracted to the grace and precision of Pilates, in particular its focus on spinal alignment and the building of a strong, healthy core to help heal and alleviate back injuries. It was the ideal complement to yoga, so Michelle trained as a Pilates instructor in order to bring the benefits of Pilates to her students.
Several years ago, Michelle qualified as a massage therapist, which she found to be the perfect adjunct to body movement, awareness and healing. More recently she has qualified as a Zumba Dance Fitness instructor.
